An early Teddy Riley production from '87 that is a precursor to what would later become New Jack Swing. This record really reminds me of Mantronix with the heavily chopped samples, and that's why I like it so much. Get it here.
It's nice to find awesome blogs like this here on blogger. I'm currently collecting classic 45's but now that all the record and vinyl stores in my area are closing i have to try my luck on the net.

Anything posted here was ripped from vinyl, by me. No exceptions. I'm not a bitrate Nazi, so don't expect 320kbit/s variable bitrate rips. You want something better? Go buy it yourself -- a real vinyl addict would do that anyway. 128kbit/s is good enough for me.
You will never find the newest 50 Cent or Lil' Wayne releases here. You will not find backpacker so-called 'true school' Hip-Hop here. The goal of this blog is to bring past sounds to a new audience, and refresh the memories of those who lived through previous eras.
This blog is fun for me, and a way to share my music with the world. That said, I don't take requests -- because the minute this becomes work I'm not interested anymore.
Lastly, keep the digging spirit alive. I post what I consider to be the most interesting cuts from an LP, 12", or 45, not the entire piece. That should hopefully motivate you to buy it when you're out digging, because who knows -- maybe my taste sucks and another remix, song, dub, or instrumental, is more interesting to you.
If you share Vinyl Archaeology music with friends, or post it to your blog please link to me so this blog gains more readers. Thanks in advance.
